Hi could anyone tell me how to find the latest magazine competitions Eg take a break.I know that they are on here somewhere but think I'm having a senior/blond moment

Hi, I find if you put
' Take a Break Issue '
in the search it usually finds them..
ie..


E: 05/10 Take a Break Issue 38
E: 12/10 Take a Break Issue 39
E: 19/10 Take a Break Issue 40

if this helps, you can put the reg posters names in your
user cp & then it's a quicker way to find their latest posting,
ie:

Holland1977 usually posts the That's Life!
Find all threads started by Holland1977

Pick Me Up & Real People
Find all threads started by jaibaby

Chat Puzzles
Find all threads started by mumto2boys

Love It!

it's your user control panel found on your profile,
where you can add contacts/edit avatars/ etc,
or if you click on the members name you want to add
you should get a drop down box & at the bottom there's
an option to add the person to your contacts.

Since falling behind (months ago) i'm back to end dating and haven't been able to catch up again. Had the thought that I seem to be entering less mag comps. Low and behold - I've been missing the TAB and Puzzler comps.




Didn't realise these weren't posted on the main board. Any reason why not?

Must have been decided on in the past. They have no end date as such so a dedicated thread is easier to categorise on indexing rather than a dated thread.

Maybe just bookmark these & visit them every few days:

hi, they are posted on main board,
but the postings for the new issues are added to
the thread for them,
it's been like that since comps board started way back &
has been asked quite a few times why they aren't posted
separately & the answers always been because they keep the issue
numbers following through & some comps run in conjunction with
other mag issues so it helps avoid any dupe postings/reg posters
pay for the magazines & supply the answers/etc,
& it's easier to keep them all contained in their own threads,

Thanks Weeowens. Yeah, re-discovered those threads yesterday after getting the inclination that I wasn't entering as many mags as before. Got them bookmarked so I don't miss them (like I have for months).

Yeah, sorry - I realise they are on the main board. I meant individual threads with end dates. Having been end dating for several months now - I totally forgot about those 2 threads so haven't been entering.


Got them bookmarked now.
