challenging week ahead - advice needed

I'm still new to all this OS money-saving - so far its slow but steady.
But next week I have visitors all week - who although are mostly self-catering will want feeding and entertaining, followed immediately by my dd 3rd birthday party. I'm preparing ahead as best as I can -by making party food etc this week. But this kind of week usually has me running for ready meals and alcohol (I find these particular visitors exhausting). Any advice to help keep things sane and inexpensive and tidy will be gratefully received
