hiar mousse recommendations?

hi

I am having my hair done for a wedding and the hairdresser has asked me to come in with my hair washed and moussed as it is quite "slippy" as she calls it. I haven't got much mousse experience so can anyone recommend a good one? Doesn't have to be too MSE as its a special day, but rather it wasn't £££!

PS it's kind of a half-up half-down do so can't be too "crispy" :D

There's so many mousses to choose from, different strengths - normal, strong hold, for different hair types, volumising, etc. Why not ask the hairdresser which mousse she recommends for your particular hair and the style that you're having.

I'm wondering why she wants you to wash and mousse it anyway. Is it to save time as she's doing the whole wedding party? If you wash it at home by the time you get to the hairdressers it will have started to dry and she may need to damp it again

I agree with Tomsmom, and ask the hairdresser which mousse she recomends, also ask her when you should wash your hair, does she mean before you go or the night before. when my daughter had her hair curled for prom, she hadnt had her hair washed for 4 days  at the hairdressers request, she said she felt minging, but her hair looked beautiful and stayed in great :D

Hiya - Just wanted to add that Boots have very small travel versions of a lot of the mousse brands, so if you're only going to use it the once, it might be worth looking out for those - I love the Toni & Guy one, it's great for building a bit of body into 'slippery' hair.

    Hello Katmc2k

My tip isn't about mousse, it's about hairspray. For the best 'non crispy' hold, buy a handbag sized can of Elnett hairspray to take to the hairdressers.

It really is the best hairspray and although it's expensive, the handbag sized can won't break the bank.;)

I hope you have a wonderful wedding.
