Sentinel Al reclaim

Have been reading through paperwork from A1. Do I need to prove that I had cover in the Form statement? Unfortunately due to a move a lot of stuff has been destroyed and have only really kept 7 years worth (legally the normal limit) but do have letter in 2008 thanking me for renewal which takes me to 2005 as I took out 3 yearly cover. Also I used to take this cover originally with Barclaycard ( at renewal in 2011 Barclaycard name no longer on correspondence but SentinelGold) on a 3 year basis and have kept up renewal on this so was renewed in 2011 for 3 years taking me to end 2014 and was therefore unaware of the removal of the cover in 2013 of the £100K so presume it was still in place until I renewed again late 2014 for 3 years when this cover was removed. What is the position re my claim till 2014 not 2013? Also if I do claim I have a 3 year cover expiring late 2017 Sentinel will cancel this, will I get a refund?
