Free Winks for MSN Messenger 7.0

If you have the new MSN Messenger you'll have seen the 'Winks' you can send to whoever you're talking to. There's everything from crying penguins to footballers scoring goals. If you want any extra ones they cost a £1 however there is a way to get them free. If you've got kids they may be interested in this as MSN Messenger seems to be the most popular Messenger at the moment.
Everyone is entitled to one free wink, at the top of the MSN main window if you click 'Actions' then 'Get more from Messenger' then 'Winks' it will take you to the Blue Mountain page to get winks. When you find one you like if you click on it you'll see it come up as £1 with a buy now button. Instead of clicking that click 'Already have a pin' underneath and then enter your e-mail and the pin 'bluemountain' and you get your free wink!
You can also get to the Blue Mountain site direct here and but make sure you're logged in to MSN Messenger for it to download.
Blue Mountain have other sites for other countries and you can also get one free wink for all those. Again make sure you're logged in to MSN Messenger with the account you use to chat and use the pin 'bluemountain' again.
Ok so the other country links are:
USA
Australia
Holland
France
Spain
Italy
Germany
Sweden
If you are downloading one from a foreign site if you click on it when you're on the page showing the price you can see a preview of it on the left. This may be useful as a couple of them flash up with words and those are ones best got from the english speaking sites!
Even when you've got one Wink from each of these sites it's still possible to get more by deleting cookies. First of all do the old tools, internet options, delete cookies but these blue mountain cookies can be little devils and don't always delete that way. Therefore you may need to do it manually by going into your Temporary Internet Files directory (for Windows XP users that's C:\Documents and Settings\your account name here\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files (you might need to enabled windows to show hidden files and folders)) and delete everything to do with bmamessenger.com. Then you can go through it all again!
There's quite a lot of legitimately free backgrounds aswell, no need to enter a code this time! the one's that are free are the ones with free underneath

Thanks for that. I wouldn't pay for them but if they are free then that's a differnet matter!

Thanks OP; I've completed it fromm the uk site. Says 'You have been charged £1.00'..... sorry to be having a dumb blonde moment, but I'm guessing that I've not 'really' been charged??
(Just wanna check before I try any of the other countries sites;) )"When I'm good I'm very very good, but when I'm bad I'm better."- Mae West0 -

Nope, no charge I promise! They can only charge u through either SMS or Credit Card so providing you haven't put those details in you're fine!
For some reason it says you've been charged everytime, I guess they just send you to the same page each time regardless of whether you did it the pay way or the free way!0 -
Thanks very much for this. Have managed to download from each site. My kids are very pleased, as I wouldnt pay for them. Cheers0

The e-mail address is nothing to do with it and can be used over and over again, you don't even need to use your own e-mail from the MSN account you're downloading winks for. If you read my first post I did say you can do it all over again after deleting cookies0 -
thank you!0

there are a number of ways to use the same code for the UK site:
Taken from www.mess.beAfter you download your free Wink, you have to get rid of your Cookies (in Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options and click the Delete Cookies).
If your bond with your Cookies is too strong, you can manually delete the Blue Mountain one by going to your Temporary Internet Files directory (Usually that's C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files... just paste %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files in Start > Run) and delete all the stuff coming from bmamessenger.com (if you can't find anything, change the file sorting to Last Modified and check the last ones in the list).
Also this next bit works! I have tried it and works all the time for me:This technique is a bit trickier, but works with Muggins as well as Winks and Characters. Close the BlueMountain window (launched by MSN Messenger) while the Download MSN Messenger Content - Progress window appears. This way the pin will not be considered as used.0 -
sorry, didn't realise the cookies one had already been posted. but the second method does work!0
