We applied through an IFA for a Halifax mortgage five weeks ago.
Got agreement in principal
Halifax instructed survey - all good
Wait... Wait... Wait....
Started chasing IFA
All of a sudden our case has been referred to business manager and again wait.... Wait... Wait.....
We really dont want to lose the house we're buying.
Surely this isn't normal??
Our details
Moving house
Sale price 240k
Purchase price 300k
We are clearing 24k loan and putting 45k down as deposit
Mortgage of 255k
Husband applying in his name. Credit rating 998.
Have 10k is cash in bank for fees.
Have privided Halifax with
Credit report
Bank statements to prove 10k balance.
Husband earns 65k.
Really fed up and now all weekend wondering:(

why not joint?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
