Spendaholics - Episode 5

I'm sure that there have been others but I was so impressed with the way that Miriam changed her attitude to spending.

Although I can't understand why she couldn't get an interview for Buying herself, apart from that she seemed to have completely turned her life around.

Apart from that, I think I've found the woman I want to marry....;) so if anyone knows Miriam, PM me...

Steve

P.S. If my calculations are right, and based on the calendar that was used, it was either filmed in 2003 or I've had an insight in to 2008 !!

If you can get me her number, I'll convince Miriam to let you be her bridesmaid......................;)

Do you see what I mean about the dates though - 24th July, etc.....

I think they just used an old calender for the dates!

I was so mad when she took her old thing straight to the charity shop, what about ebay or a car boot sale - she'd of got some money towards the debt!

Thought in general it was a really good programme.

I  Spendaholics, I watch the repeats all week too. I do like this new series as it seems more realistic, the first few people were still in the minus after thier new budgets, so it doesn't seem like a magical solve all solution, it shows that there is still hard work to be done!

Bank of Mum and Dad is another favorite, and I used to love Alvin Halls 'Your money or your life' but it's not on anymore :(

Think there's another one on Thursday evening......

I don't always agree with the suggestions.....consolidation....giving clothes away when they could have been sold....where's the 2nd job scenario that quite a few of us have done when we've needed to?

I agree about Alvin Hall and Bank of Mum & Dad tho....and I liked Pay Off Your Mortgage in 2 Years too....maybe I just like seeing that other people get their finances in a mess as well as me!!
