Hi,
I have a dmp with stepchange and my income and expenditure update is overdue. I am not sure how to handle this as when i set up my dmp i was single and so my payments are based on my income alone. Now i am married would i be expected to give details of my husbands income ? My debts are from when i was in a previous relationship and my husband does not feel he should be paying towards them and i agree with him. But how do i reflect this in my income and expenditure statement. All the soa examples i have seen on here include both incomes.

No you don't have to include his income if you don't want to - but I suspect you will be expected to include his contribution towards your outgoings for food, rent / mortgage etc.

    Hi

Your husband isn’t liable for paying your debts so wouldn’t have to contribute to your DMP. As far as I’m aware Stepchange would let you just show your income and your share of the bills and living costs. It’s worth completing a joint household SOA as well to make sure everything essential is affordable.
