Thank you for the reference.
Frankly I was mostly looking for the logic behind why dentistry is so different to hospital and even doctor funding. I assume it was primarily a cost cutting measure by people who don't care about the teeth of the poor.
When the NHS was first introduced (and free dental work was included) many poor people had all their teeth extracted and replaced by dentures so they had no teeth left to worry about!0 -
If I recall correctly, dental fees were introduced to help fund a war!0
