hello
need some advice on how to ge tthe best mortgage for us
currently one of us is awaiting settlement payout of a house, this is on going with solictors however need to get somewhere to live. dont want to rent its a waste of money.
with one of us waiting for this settlement finding it difficult to get another mortgage as still on the existing one till the settlement is complete. this oculd take up to 6 months. we cant delay moving as currently its only temp
however we both got full salary to pay towards a new mortage but unsure how to deal with this as her name is still on the other mortgage. this restricts our borrowing
any advice would be appreciated
banks wont give us enough under this current situation - aint life hard

I'd rent for six months or so if I were you.
Rent is no more a waste of money than mortgage interest and living in rented accomodation will give you time to research the local market, view lots of houses with no pressure to buy and put you in an excellent position to negotiate when you see the property you want.
That's what I did and I got my dream house at a bargain price.0
