I have my resignation letter prepared.
It just needs printed and signed.
That's probably a bad sign.0 -
When you work in a place where you are supposed to encourage young people to "own their behaviour", "stop deflecting", not bully others, and other ideals of a positive value system, yet those overall in charge of these nurturing departments should really have those expressions sticking in their throats on a regular basis....0

Your line manager gets a better offer and leaves, but money's so tight he won't be replaced - his duties have been delegated to those who applied for his job.

When the organisation makes your colleague redundant on the grounds that they performed poorly when it is clearly because the management didn't like being challenged for their bad decisions by him (despite being identified as a bottom 10% performer, he subsequently waltzed into a promoted position with a consultancy).
And they offer you a promotion to fill his shoes but won't give you their salary, insisting that you can only have an increase of 9% to your pay (2k payrise) when the market rate for the role is that it attracts extra pay of around 10k) .
And when you decline taking up this 'promotion', they start to give you his technical duties anyway ...0 -

When you get fed up with doing work at a far higher grade than you're paid. This has happened to me twice. Now I'm in a job where I feel that the pay for the job done is extremely generous so I'm happy.0
