We're older and childless (about 20% of my age group are childless). We don't go clubbing, but we do enjoy museums, exhibitions, restaurants, markets, shows, palaces, castles etc. etc.
I really don't underhand people who say London is for the young. Having paid off our mortgage and being further through our careers we have far more options (money) to enjoy everything London has to offer than younger people doing it on a shoestring. of course you can do it cheaply I'm just saying there is more we can take advantage of like fine dining.
We are not seriously wealthy just comfortable and middle-aged.
Perhaps it's not fashionable to be in middle-age, but I don't get why a city that offers so much should be limited to the young. In fact for those more senior in their careers they may be drawn for career reasons.0
