I bought myself a Collection highlighter pen for cheeks - not sure how to use it but will give it a try. I wanted the Clinique one but rather not the pay full price.

By the way, not to enable you or anything but Debenhams seem to have good beauty offers at the moment. Like £10 Elizabeth Arden lipsticks. I think, next week, there is a Ritual box will be on offer.

Would have thought you could use this in the same way you use Benefit High Beam ie apply a small x shaped mark to your skin and blend in. HTH.

An IN to report. My C&P arrived yesterday.

Repainted my nails last night. Am wearing OPI Wing It. Lovely irredescent pink. Clinging onto Summer by my fingernails, literally.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • hello everyone!

I've been reading Lisa Eldridge's new book on the history of make up this week, its really good and really fascinating to find out how all the beauty industry started. i especially loved the story that for Helena Rubensteins first face cream she made it for 10 pennies and they suggested to her to sell it for a shilling a pot and she flat out refused saying it needed to be sold for seven shillings seven pence as women wouldn't buy something like that unless it was expensive and they could feel they are treating themselves! i wouldn't be surprised if most of the expensive creams these days are still sold on that basis, especially ones like creme de la mer when you see their prices!

I've had another spate of UU this month:
Laura Mercier secret concealer - WMBA it works but it does crease.
Bobbi Brown - eyeshadow from a christmas palette from two years ago now! nothing special though.
Origins Gin Zing day cream - i prefer the Liz Earle one, this smells just a bit too artificial.
Benefit professional mini - WNBA this is awful and i really don't understand the hype!!
Cowshed body lotion - WNBA i don't like the smell.
Elemis pro collagen cleanser - WBA if part of a set but not at full price.
Bobbi Brown - mini hydrating face cream - WNBA
Elemis - rose exfoliator WBA if part of a set but not at full price.
Aveda - exfoliating cleanser - WNBA this was in between a normal cleanser and an exfoliator and i think it was too harsh for everyday but not enough to do a proper exfoliation.

Kind of needed the UU as more old bare minerals QVC TSVs arrived in our tkmaxx and my HG foundation in exactly my shade was in it and for £3 more then id pay for the pot of that alone there was the full size clear radiance that i mix in with my foundation thats £19 a pop, a full size of my possibly new HG mascara, full size eyebrows pencil and full size concealer in my shade that I've paid £22 for in the past along with a brush so it would have been silly to leave them there as i get through all that anyway as its all stuff i currently wear for work. i bought two in the end as i found two in my shade but i know they will definitely get used up

Also found a big Neom candle for £25 rather than £45 so thats gone away for christmas :) i love the Neom candles!
  • Feel like I've not used anything up in ages so threw a bathbomb in the tub last night. Wasn't impressed it didn't want to dissolve and just rolled around the tub till I crushed it. Didn't notice any scent or softening of the water just a load of dead flower petals to clean out afterwards.
It had been in the stash too long I think.

Sorry I've been away for so long and trying to catch up to all my OUT's and IN's. I'll do my best to remember, but overall, my OUT's outweigh my In's this month.

    OUT's:
Sent out 6 boxes to friends, each box had roughly 5-10 beauty items in it.
    Sold: 2 perfumes

    UU's:
Lush - sweetie pie shower jelly
Lush - Sex bomb bath bomb
Lush - Magic Christmas wand, this is my fav from xmas collection
Lush - white star bath bomb - forgot the name, this was ok
    Chanel - eyebrow pencil
