Old Endowment Mortgage

Many years ago I had an endowment mortgage and was missold it. We had a letter from the company one day asking us to complete a questionnaire, they agreed we were missold and we received a cheque . This was about 10 years ago and before it broke out in the news about endowment mortgages. However, knowing what I do now, I dont think we were even covered for all our payment, let alone any compensation for the 5 years or so we missed off repaying our mortgage. Is it too old for me to go back and push a further claim?

I think you are mistaken on timescales. Endowment complaints were common between 2003 and 2008. its generally regarded as a closed issue now. If your complaint was about 10 years ago then it was in the period when most endowment complaints were being made.
However, knowing what I do now, I dont think we were even covered for all our payment, let alone any compensation for the 5 years or so we missed off repaying our mortgage.

The redress method was defined by the regulator. The redress was the difference between the surrender value of the endowment policy deducted from the interest only mortgage vs where a repayment mortgage would have been at the same point. There was no compensation added to that as it was financial redress only.

You accepted the complaint outcome and took the money. That ends it. So, no, you cannot go back.
