locating my son's CTF

I opened a CTF for my son in 2003 with Britannia and initially invested approx £2k. Since then Britannia has been taken over by the Co Op and I have moved house and lost all records of the fund.
I did try contacting a Gov website around 8 weeks ago on the understanding they would locate the CTF and tell me where it is within 2 weeks. I have heard nothing.
I want to convert it to a Junior ISA - if there is anything left. Can anyone advise me where to start looking for the CTF
Many thanks
Jo
