Hi hope someone can help me. Just bought a solar power system, it has 10 E20 sunpower panels 3.27kw and a solar X inverter, I also received a Geo II. My question is how much power should my inverter be showing. It's been a sunny week and my power tops out at 2.3 kW and I'm not sure if that's about right or not? I live in Newcastle upon tyne and my roof is a SSW Facing roof which has a 30* angle can anyone tell me if the system is about right or do I have a problem thanks

That doesn't sound unreasonable for this time of year in your location. My 3.5kWp system points WSW and today topped out about the same and generated just under 11kWh. Last two days were similar with 13 and 12.5 kWh respectively. My roof is 40 degrees and I am 250 miles south of you...0

If you're interested in seeing performance of panels to compare, these are 3kWp panels in Kent facing SSW.

You can also see the impact of temperature and of time of day here

The peak will be around midday if it' sunny and June/July. By September the maximum per day is already dropping a lot. You can see here how the peak in September is around 10% below the nominal panel output (for ours 2.7kW)
