Zero hour contract plus JSA - how do I change my tax code?

So confused, I have been on JSA/HB but I've recently started a job that is a zero hour contract.
Will my employer automatically contact HMRC so that my tax code changes and I don't end up paying too much tax?
Cheers.

You would normally give them a P45 from your previous employer but you won't have one of those if you are still on JSA. So I think you will need to complete a P46 and give that to your new employer.0
