The suspense of waiting to hear following an interview!

I attended an interview last Friday, I was told a decision would be made that day but that this decision needed to be approved by the board and therefore all candidates would be informed a few days later.

I received an email following the interview on Friday to say that they are hoping to feedback to me regarding my interview on Thursday.

For me, being told I will receive feedback kind of makes me think I haven't got it. Surely they wouldn't use this wording to a successful candidate?

I know trying to analyse it is pointless but I hate the suspense of not knowing!

You are not a "successful" candidate until the decision has been approved by the board.

Dont get your hopes up, but don't get yourself down either.
