Nationwide DIP Refer

Options
Hi

Me and my husband did an online DIP with nationwide on the 18th Septembet which was referred...
The requested all of the proof eg wage slips, bank statement etc etc...
These were sent on the 24th and now still waiting for anyone to get back to us.
Does anyone have any experience with nationwide? Any reason why the application has been referred? Would a bad credit check have just been declined?
The LTV is 89.1%

Sorry about all of my questions, we are first time buyers!

No way of knowing why it referred from what you're saying here.

My current opinion of Nationwide service is that it's a shambles. Your going to need to start calling them and hassling them for an answer.

Be prepared to become very frustrated!

Sent on Thursday 24th might not be recd until Monday 28th ( today is the 29th) , they scan and return docs. Expect about 2 days after for an underwriter to review

IMHO Nationwide actually appear fairly good compared to some others.

If you have online banking with them you can check progress

89% ltv c cases are likely to be looked at carefully

    Thanks for your responses.
We sent them in branch, and the online tracker said that they received them that day.
Since then one document has been taken off the requested list, so am I right in thinking different people look at different documents?
Just finding it difficult to be patient! Lol!
Will leave it till Friday and maybe call them?
  • Hi our broker submitted our application on the 18th to Nationwide as a refer (debt which will be cleared when we sell our property was reason for referral) and we have heard nothing, no survey has been instructed or anything. :( Have chased broker but no response

Live in a flat with a flat number, building name and building number?

The bulk of Nationwide refers are due to "address targeting issues" between them and Experian. Basically, Experian have addresses on file which don't match the Royal Mail PAF search output which is what is supposed to be entered on the Nationwide system.

  • I would keep phoning nationwide until you have answers - I am going through a mortgage application process with them at the moment. They are looking at our documents, and there have been delays because they have queries about documents e.g. payslips. Each time, they have only let me know this when I have rung up, they have not contacted us to ask for this information. If I were you, I would regularly phone for updates just to check there are no outstanding queries.
