Just my opinion but your clothing also seems very low for 8 people, I'd say you should be closer to £200 per month for that.
Although you won't get an IPA because of no earned income, it doesn't hurt to build a budget you can work from each month and whats left over you could put into a savings account with your local credit union. Whether that be £5 or £50 per month, it would be nice to have some money for a rainy day

Thank you again everyone our court date is booked for next week. Still absolutely bricking it. Hopefully next week we can start a fresh instead of putting our heads in the sand like we have been for the last 6 years.0

Hi again sorry for being a pain. A little more advice please if you will.
I'm defiantly wanting to go BR but just done that SOA on that step change site and the advisor recommended we go on.pay a pound debt management thing for 6 months to see if your circumstances change etc which they won't, this seems implausible and will only keep the worry, sleepless nights, not eating nightmares going with no end in sight.
We've booked our BR date for next week are we still allowed to file for BR.
Thank you so much for your help.0 -

The online debt remedy tool does that for my OH as well and it's obvious she can't even afford the £1 and never will. Earnings £150 per month essential living expenses 50% of £1,400 being £700 per month. Debts £5,000. I think the computer doesn't want to recommend a BR when a BR is the obvious solution.
My OH is attempting to get all creditors to remit the debt to avoid a DRO and has had success in almost all cases. Only 2 debts remain...the council and HMRC and they have policies to remit rather than force the debtor onto a DRO or BR so I think she's going to successfully avoid the DRO that she had lined up.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thanks guys, yes it seems step change look for other solutions rather then the obvious. I even done a made up when which was impossible to pay back and they offered IVA. Not sure if step change is a free charity but it's very reluctant to advise on the obvious.0

Judge will usually ask what advice you have taken to satisfy themselves you've looked into options enough and understand the consequences. That's one reason why it's usually best to get a range of options from more than one advice agency. It's not essential that all agree... Some judges don't ask, though most do, so just know what you will say if they do.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Fermi Thank you.
Sorry but can you in anyway give me an idea what to say please because if you knew me personally you'd know that I'm terrible on the phone and in person as I get all mixed up and get all panicky even when I speak to the Inlaws I pass the phone straight over as I come all over with anxiety. Not sure why.0 -
Simply, if asked where you have had advice from, tell them the organisations and that they have advised BR is the best option for you as things stand.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
