I have challenged myself this year to comp for christmas and try to get as much as I can through comping!
Already have a smartrike which was delivered this morning for my son and some books I won before.
Entering lots of competitions as I have a long list to buy for

I am also doing this (although yet to win anything!!) I have 8, 7 and 4 year old girls so could really do with a bit of help especially as this year they have found the art of Argos/smythes catalogue browsing!!:rotfl:
Fingers crossed something comes my way soon!!0 -
I have done this a couple of times in the past, mostly with my husbands nieces and nephews, but this year I have a new great nephew and have won some Fisher Price toys that I will use for his Christmas and 1st Birthday presents, also a few small things that will come in as stocking fillers for our 2 sons, I have a hamper being dispatched today that I have won, not really sure what's in it but will be keeping any thing that I can for Christmas as DH has been off work alot this year following his heart attack and 2 surgeries.
I am planning on phoning my Sister and telling her that I will only buy for her children or grandchildren this year as I know that money is going to be tight and our two boys have birthdays in November and December.
If I am lucky enough to win anything else that I can use then I will be doing so this year to help out, I think that DH is more worried about this than me, if we haven't got the money then we can't spend it and people will just have to understand how difficult it has been since January. I am trying to make a few small gifts as well.Fibro-Warrior0 -
I love to Win Christmas! - So far I have lots of Lego Sets, Jigsaws, Books and a cheaper version of a Go Pro Camera. (oh and a Bottle of Wine! - That has been put a side for Christmas) I have also put away some Voucher wins for Christmas...
I find Comping saves a fortune.. as for wrapping and cards I buy all that in the January sale for 10p..
I love to try and win a Christmas Hamper each year. I have recently sat down with a list of my "Compers Christmas List" so I know what I have to try and win! One year I won my parents a 32" TV since then I have been hooked with trying to win what I can't afford.Ask.. Believe.. Receive..

I love trying to win prizes for family for Christmas too. Every year I make a big comping wishlist so when it comes to the Autumn season about September time I work really hard in trying to win as many of the prizes on my wishlist for Christmas. This is how my wishlist is looking so far.

I've been entering for kids prizes recently, I haven't got any children myself, but will be donating any toys that I win to the poor little mites that through no fault of their own are in authority care.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
Good to see I am not on my own haha! I also have written a wishlist for christmas, of which I would be so happy if 5 items were won, every item won is cash saved! I love the idea of donating the toys oliveoyl thats such a lovely idea.Thoughts become things, attract what you want using LOA

I don't really comp for xmas with a wishlist but I've been lucky enough to win £1000 John Lewis and £750 Love2Shop vouchers in the last 3 weeks (after having 7 months with only 2 tiny wins) - I've spent around £600 of it on bits for the house, some new clothes and a massive food order but I've got enough left to sort Xmas out and I plan to save it until December and then get pressies for all the family which is rather large!!0

Ive started to do it, I only have one present so far and I have 6 people I need to get prezzies for

I did pretty well last year, however this year has dried up within the last couple of months ive not won anything! Im still giving it a go though, and anything I do win will be great.
4 kids to buy for and baby boy due christmas day.. every thing will be appreciated lol.0 -
The crappy luck I've had this year, I wouldn't dare pin my hopes on winning anything for Christmas! I'd love it if I did like, but I'm not holding my breath...0
