HEllo All,
I need help. I owe Abbey about £300 as an overdraft. They have added almost £350 to it in default charges over the last 18 months and closed the account. Abbey have registered a default on my credit record and even though I have made over 20 phone calls and visits to the bank none of their staff seem to know how to deal with it. the explanation is since the account is closed there is no way of collecting what i owe them.
All I want to do is pay off the debt :A whether its fairly acrued or not and surprise suprise Abbey cant take the money!!? Can anyone help me with some advice on how to go about this.

Have they transferred it to a debt collection agency? I don't know who the Abbey use, but someone else might know soon.
