Expat Mortgage - Scottish Property

Hi,
Looking for some help. I'm currently working in Australia and need to purchase a house at the end of the year in Scotland as my wife will be returning during the year.
I've spoken with a few brokers and getting a expat residential mortgage for Scotland looks to be impossible. If it was BTL or in England/Wales there would be no issues.
Has anyone heard of a lender who'll consider expat residential products in Scotland?
