Count down to Octobers Solar PV Feed In Tariff reduction

Hi all,
I was hoping someone on this forum might be able to tell me what happens if you've already had Solar PV installed but have not yet received and sent off the Feed in Tariff sign up forms before the tariff changes?...
Specifically, I've had a PV system installed at the beginning of September, and signed up online on Scottish Powers website on the 14th September. I'm now waiting for the forms to sign in order to "complete my registration" as they put it.
I've heard a few stories of people having their forms sent back because they've not been signed - even though they were - and when returned (with no changes whatsoever) they go through fine, but are received after the date when a tariff changes!
Now I'm worried that a similar thing is going to happen to me and I won't receive these forms until after October 1st when the tariff is reduced slightly.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do to negate this? Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Hiya Mikiec. As Aauk25 says, if your application has been checked and it's fine, then you will be ok. The FiT date is the day that they confirm they have all the right information, documents etc. If you're at all unsure, then give them a ring and ask. If there is any issue, then you can ask them (nicely) to go through the application there and then to make sure it's complete.
When you say awaiting the forms to sign, are you talking about the FiT contract? If you are then that's ok, that can take some time to send out, mine took nearly 4 months back in 2011! I'm sure it's much faster now. Again, your FiT date is when the application is considered complete and correct, not when the contract is sent out.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Thanks guys that's excellent news. I'll give them a call like you suggest, just to confirm, but its definitely better news than I was expecting.
