Buying a Chest Freezer...

Options
Been looking at chest freezers online; need to measure where we plan on putting it so I know how big I can go. Any ideas as to a good brand?? Looking at 'A' ratings only.

Bosch...I love my Bosch, A+ rated and huge. It wasn't cheap but it has a 2 yr guarantee as opposed to a 1 yr. We went for the biggest though.

  • I would second bosch... I took delivery of our 1st chest freezer in April and it is fantastic - especially since I cook as though we are a family of 7 lol so there are always a couple of spare portions to put in freezer - it fills up quickly. At the same time that I ordered my freezer I also ordered extra baskets from bosch as I think it only came with 2 so just something that you may need to account for.

Don't forget to google model no - The price for the model I bought varied by £100 with some suppliers charging extra for delivery too!

At the time I got mine this company was the cheapest for the model I wanted http://www.rtd.uk.com/ they pricematch and their customer service was great - which you can't say that often these days...

My mum always says that freezers last a long time if you don't move them, her chest freezer has been going strong for 30 years!
  • Any more reccomendations??
