But it wouldn't just be a transfer of product.

If you stuck with HSBC, you'd also need to apply for a Transfer of Equity, which means you'd need to apply to them to remove your father in law from the mortgage, and to replace him with you.

I think a broker would be helpful for you, as HSBC haven't given you full information. (Or you didn't tell them about the proposed name changes)

Ah sorry I see the post you mean that was for my sister she is looking to mortgage next year. We did it on my account. Sorry that will be deleted as I have not meant to mislead

This is confusing as I've used this money expert account to ask questions on my behalf and my sisters so not all posts are mine and vice versa didn't know people would look at posts to make a response so if confused that's why it's not adding up.
