    Possibly.

Not enough information to be able to speculate on outcome.

    Suggest contacting person/organisation handling application.

If you are paid a fixed basic salary every month, Nationwide requires a copy of the latest payslip as proof of income and the bank statement showing receipt of the net amount. If the salary varies they ask for payslips over a longer period. Given that you have been in your job for less than a month, may I ask what you submitted as proof of your income?

Being paid through an agency is not necessarily a deal-breaker as such, but Nationwide might ask for additional proof such as reference from employer, etc.

We are in the process of buying a house on a Nationwide mortgage with my partner on a fixed basic salary and me on a basic+commission+bonus variable salary. We used a broker because lenders consider variable income in very different ways and eventually Nationwide's criteria suited our circumstances the best.

In the unfortunate event that this application falls through, I would recommend talking to a mortgage broker that doesn't charge for advice just so you avoid unnecessary applications which hurt your credit file.

  • I got an email from the in branch financial advisor on the 26th September saying that we have passed all final checks & no more information needed, and that shes chasing up on offer that day.

Come the following Monday 28th September , I called Nationwide Buisness Team and they said that our mortgage advisor has put the wrong adress. E.G Instead of Flat 3 Uplands Court , She put 3 Uplands Court. So there for needs to be resolved then amended then re assessd AGAIN!! Then will go to final checks by after Monday the 5th October.

My question is were did the in branch finance advisor find the information that it has passed all final checks??? surely it didnt pass other wise why would they ask to sort the address out the following week ?... plus due to her mistake it is taking so much longer and its stressing me out!

    :(

If you could get back to me that would be great
