I know there was a thread here in 2007 / 9 but I am now in the market for an MRI scan and someone to read the scan and tell me what's happening to my medial tendon on my L knee as I am even struggling to climb the stair case.
Getting fed up and wanted a better explanation than my local A and E (now in Special Measures).
Thanks in anticipation.

Do you mean that your GP doesn't agree to refer you for an MRI on the NHS? An MRI on the NHS doesn't cost much, especially for the knee, so very odd it would be refused, unless they believe this is not the best scan to diagnose your issue. Have you had any other diagnostics?
In any case, even for a private MRI, I believe you would need a referral from a clinician. They start at £200, but can go up to over £2000 depending on the type of MRI required (whether you require contrast or not and the number of areas to scan).0
