Do I need a Solicitor??

Hi
I'm new to this forum, but seeking advice please! My husband went bankrupt earlier this year and to keep our home I have to buy his 50% share of the equity. The Official Receiver has accepted my offer and requested I send a cheque for this plus £211 for the TLT solicitors. They've also asked for my solicitors details, if I have any.
Question is, I can't afford to pay a solicitor for this.... can I act for myself and what will it involve?
Thanks in anticipation...

Hi,
You do not have to use a solicitor if you don't want to - many people go through this process without a solicitor.
Hopefully, some one will be along who has actually done this, to give you some practical hints.

Hi
As debt doctor says, you don’t necessarily need a solicitor for this although I’m afraid I can’t add any practical tips. You could check whether you can access free legal advice through a local Law Centre or Law Works legal advice clinic using the links below as they may be able to help.
