Entry Form - competition name: POCKET PIRATES
West Yorkshire author Chris Mould has worked with the prestigious Aardman Animations studios, the BBC, and the RSC, but he’s best-known for his widely acclaimed children’s books. His new series, the Pocket Pirates, is about a cast of scurvy sailors who live inside a dusty ship in a bottle, in an old junk shop. They’re smaller than a teacup and, when the world isn’t watching, they come out to explore.
The first book in the series is The Great Cheese Robbery. When the skirting-board mice kidnap the ship’s cat and ransom him for cheese, the Pocket Pirates spring into action. But to get to the cheese, they must venture to the freezing cold place where it’s always winter – the place called ‘Fridge’.
Aimed at children aged five to eight, this new story is bound to be a big hit in any household, and we’ve got five copies to give away.
