How long were you entering comps before your first win?

Just wondered. I only started on Sunday, Interested to see how long it is before I actually win anything....if ever? Been entering fb comps, a few rafflecopters and some mag dailies, but by gosh does it get addictive!
I can see some of you on the board are dedicated compers and enter an amazing amount each day...now thats determination!

Mine was about 3 weeks and it was a cheese hamper.. just before Xmas and very handy
Unless you do closing soon comps, bear in mind that some of them aren't drawn for ages yet.

I've been at it for about three weeks and haven't won anything yet, but like gizmobenny said I may well win on them in the future. I look at it as a bit of fun in my free time, rather than doing it solely for the prizes. My friend is a dedicated comper and has won plenty over the last 5 years (holidays and all!). It'd be nice to get a knock at the door with my first win :-) Maybe some people are just 'more lucky' than others?!

Been comping for 28 years -- it took about 15 years to get my first win

Treat it as a hobby and nothing else - winning is just a bonus

I've been comping on and off for years but really got into it in July last year when I started using this forum. It was about 6 weeks before I got a win I think. I win a few small things a month now, but rarely win anything large!

I started comping in June/July and have won so far a Jelly Bean Hamper worth £200, Tickets to a food festival with keg of beer, tickets to the Radio Times Festival, a cleaning hamper and a lingerie win worth £200!! I enter about 1000 a month, I'm not sure what others do but it's working for me! Keep going, know that you'll win and enjoy it!!

Took me about 2 months to get any kind of a win (as it happens, my first was a packet of sweets!) and about a further month before I won anything decent - my first proper prize was a Christmas hamper worth about £170!
