Shared appreciation mortgage

I know this is going over very old ground, but is there anyone out there who has the details of the SAM contracts? In every article I've ever seen about them it just says repayment of up to 75% of the appreciation. It has been put to me that this figure is derived from the fact that SAMS went up to 25% of the original value and the repayment was a fixed three times the advance - hence 75%. Can anyone confirm this factor of three? thank you

This was certainly the normal case for the main banks that were involved, but I don't know if there were any "outliers" where SAMs were written at different levels.
Why is this an issue at present?0 -
Thanks for this, I'm trying to find out for a question I've been asked.0
