Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:
Welcome to Tuesday !!!!! :cool:
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
So, today I will:
Have a good day everyone xx

Morning Hypno, and all who follow on these wet August Tuesday;)
Today I have/will:
- done my piggy clocks
- search for really cheap whole life insurance for OH & me and do it through Quidco.
-Carry on (and on and on) sorting through these boxes from the loft. Can't list anything on ebay until I return from a trip in a couple of weeks time, can't do a boot in this appalling weather so we're doomed to living amongst boxes till then
- Post out 2 more books sold on Amazon
- Be positive
- try again on this meal planning......0 -
Today i paid 33.69 to my New Look, GE money Card and it now has a zero balance!
Hoooray another debt scored off my list!! The most satisfying thing i find is scoring off the things i pay monthly out of the back of my diary. And i love love love it when i can say that was the last payment. The list is getting shorter all the time as things get fully paid off.
DFW things i shall do today?....
I will not venture into the supermarket except to go directly to the sandwich counter and to the till. Safest way to avoid spending loads of money in the supermarket!
Store cupboard tea tonight, as freezer is fit to burst!
Hmmmm, must buys plimsoles today for DD as forgot to buy them when bought school uniforms way back in July. thought i was so organised but evidently not!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Fee-bay! Love it! :T
Well today, for what it's worth because I feel like I might as well not bother (poxy overdraft) I have:
* Got paid the pathetic amount for something I sold on EBAY....cursing myself for starting the bidding so low. Wrapping the item up left a bitter taste I can tell you!
* QuidCo searches and Piggy Comps
* HM lunch to work
* A friend said she will give me some free hair product which is superb as I am just about to run out and can't afford to buy any more (still over a week till pay day...sigh)
* Got a lift home
* Transferred some money over from PayPal but it's not a lot.....drop in ocean really.
Ah well.
*Kicks heels*Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

I have..
- written cheques for debt payments and done Quidco clicks at some ridiculous time this morning
- worked an extra long day and will get paid for overtime
- walked home from work rather than get money out, buy something to get change and pay bus fare
- cooked pasta for tea despite temptation of takeaway when knackered
- paid some money from an eBay sale straight into savings account for the four month challenge
