  • I feel for you with your 'company'. Can you get out and about on your own for a bit? Or develop a contagious lurgy that gets better as soon as they leave... Hugs x

    Thanks and welcome lincs1205 x

Apple, I do hope you had an easier weekend of it with your company too. I haven't sorted that fabric for you yet I'm afraid due to events below, but I haven't forgotten. x

Everyone is sad here at the moment. :(
My lovely MIL passed away yesterday after being poorly on and off for a while. The ex is understandably devastated.
I explained to DS that granny had died and he was sad too and is now concerned about when Nanny is going to die. I've ordered a book called 'Badger's parting gifts' which is about loss, for him today on Amazon.
I keep quietly breaking down. I hadn't seen MIL for about a year due to family problems during the ex and I's split (long story), but missed her so. I also missed seeing her to say goodbye by about 5 minutes yesterday, so feel terribly sad at that.

Anyway, I'm supporting the ex as best I can at the moment.
My parents are still here and, as wonderful as they are, I'm finding it very hard. My Mum's reaction to the death is touching a nerve with me. She means well, but has been quite blunt and some of the things she has come out with have upset me a bit. I'm feeling like I'm hanging on until they've gone until I can grieve if you know what I mean.

Other news, on the money front, ebay items ended with bids of around £30. Probably around £25 after fees, which is better than nothing. I've sold some unused garden furniture for £15 locally and Quidco have confirmed the £80 cashback after a gentle reminder. More business orders in mean the money is trickling in and any surplus after expenses is being thrown straight at the debt.

I need an evening on my own to sit and look at YNAB and update it all, but unlikley to get that opportunity for a good few days.

I'm working most evenings, but it's all good as I feel like I'm making good progress at paying everything off.

    xx

Thank you LMD, it's sometimes a battle, but trying to keep the positivity up!

Apple, yes, it does feel very good to be in control. :)

Another £130 overpayment to the loan today. £30 from ebay sales of bits and bobs and £100 from business sales. :D

Quidco paid out the £80, so I have put that straight into the car manintenance pot, along with the regular £100 monthly saving.

Work have finally paid me the outstanding wages they owed me, so need to update YNAB asap and see where I am this month.

    xx

Another £35 made from selling items locally and a big bit of space cleared in the garage!

    Well done:j

I really need to get some items on ebay which are cluttering up my wardrobe, I have too much and used to be lazy and bag it up for charity but I have lots of fairly expensive stuff so I should get a few quid for it.

My problem was (or maybe still is :o) that I get bored easily...

I have spare time this weekend so will add ebaying to my plans!

Do you use the ebay app LittleMissDetermined? I find it much easier than the actual ebay site, it seems to simplify the steps of listing items. :)

Lots of money ins and outs to report:

The mortgage and bulk of the bills have gone out today, a £50 ish refund from some boots I ordered but didn't fit is on its way back in. I also took 3 pairs of jeans I bought last month back for a refund earlier this week as they were too long, so that was £57 returned.

I had an email this morning to say I won £25 on the lottery last night. :) I don't usually play it, but bought a ticket a month ago online. I have spent £5 of that on 5 more weeks of TB tickets and will probably withdraw the other £20 and pay it off the loan.

I should be paid £15 cash today for one item sold locally, the other £20 will come on Monday. I'll use that to pay it off the debt a little more. It's coming down... :T

I've spent some money this morning on gifts for DS for Christmas. I had bought everything for him already, but there was one thing very specific he'd asked for which his Granny wanted to buy him and one thing we have seen that will make his year! As Granny now won't be with us this Christmas :( I have purchased it this morning and we will tell him she asked Santa to bring it to him from Heaven. He'll be very pleased with that.
I took it out of the business earnings, so it will not come out of the main account. It could've been used as an overpayment (about £80), but I'm happy to use it on this instead.

Loads of orders in the past few days, so lots of work to do tonight. Hopefully I can use some more of that money to make an overpayment on the loan in the next few days.

Lunch and breakfast has been brought into work with me and I'll have something easy for dinner tonight as I have loads of work to do tonight.

    Have a good day all
