I didn't accomplish any tidying last night unfortunately. Once I had fed DS, played a game with him, put him in the bath and then to bed I was exhausted, so had some dinner myself, did some washing, showered and was in bed by 8.30pm myself!
I had £28.10 in my purse yesterday, but owed ex £25 for half of DS's swimming lessons and got pushed for a £3 collection at work - I'll try not to spend the 10p all at once!
A couple of people have been interested in an item on gumtree, but one wanting me to drive a ridiculous distance to deliver a £15 item, or the other, asking me to halve the price because it's going to cost her money in her 'petrol-guzzling' car to come and get it, then getting a long, sarcastic email from her when I politely said no.
Some people.
Am sending an item bought impulsively back for a refund today - don't need it - shouldn't have ordered it.
So far this week I've brought breakfast and lunch into work which is saving me £'s. Am also using up what I have in the cupboards and freezer. I need to go out and buy some fresh stuff really, but can stretch it out until the weekend when I have time to get to one of the cheaper supermarkets rather than spending a fortune in Tesco.
Last night I cooked some chicken, diced sweet potato and bottom of the fridge veg in the slow cooker with a chipotle marinade, which I'll use for dinner tonight with some rice or HM wedges. OH is coming over tonight, so that's dinner already made.
I also have some big cooking apples to use up, so shall be stuffing those and baking them in the oven - my Mum used to do this when I was a child, as did OH's apparently, so it's a bit of a nostalgic favourite.Mortgage at highest: £132,500 Now: £53,352.27

Ooh, have just seen I have £19.50 in clubcard points coming my way soon. That's 2 tickets to Longleat, so will save the points this time for another couple of tickets and use them in the Summer holidays

Also had a refund processed today for a book I ordered back in January which the company now cannot supply, so that's £13.43 going back into the account. Every little helps this month!Mortgage at highest: £132,500 Now: £53,352.27

Received my gas & electricity bills tonight. I am £40 in credit on the electricity, but they'd estimated the gas and told me I owed them £127 - I don't think so! So I took a reading, phoned them up and they actually owe me £40 - that's more like it!
Breakfast and lunch for work tomorrow are done and in the fridge, dinner will be some of the leftover slow cooker chicken as OH didn't come round tonight after all.
I need to pop a parcel back to the post office tomorrow, but thankfully it's a free post return. Forgot to do it today.
Another early night for me now, hope I get some sleep to boot.

Well, a lot has changed for me since I was last here.
I am now debt free (except for the mortgage). Ex paid off his share of the debt and an inheritance paid the rest of it off and left me with around £10k in the bank in savings.
I now "just" have a 98K mortgage to pay off.
I am no longer with (the ex) OH. It was inevitable, but I made the decision to cut ties after the relationship became more and more unhappy and somewhat toxic. I only wish I'd done it sooner.
I have since met a wonderful man whom I have been seeing for a couple of months now. He is everything the last wasn't, and I adore him. I'm so lucky that the feelingappears to be mutual, too.
There is big change afoot. I have made the difficult decision to sell the house, downsize and relocate to an area nearer work. This will mean DS changing schools and his Dad will no longer be around the corner, approximately 12 miles away, but I cannot keep up the commuting and expense of the big house on my own any longer. I also desperately want to get DS out of childcare and cut my hours at work to be able to take him and pick him up from school. He has been in childcare since he was a baby and is now not loving after school club so much, so I am desperate to achieve this.
Obviously, it will mean a much-reduced salary, but hopefully the smaller, cheaper house and reduced travelling expenses will balance this out.
It's causing me a lot of anxiety at the moment - I really don't want to disrupt DS any more than he has been already in his life, but I really don't get to see much of him working full time and I feel he would be happier this way. I really hope so. His father, on the other hand, is really not happy with the situation, but I am just trying to do the best for DS.
I hope it's the right decision.Mortgage at highest: £132,500 Now: £53,352.27
