I'd say two of those lenders will be highly unlikely as they are the "vanilla" cherry-pickers of the mortgage market.
You need all three versions of the credit file to see if the account and its late payment are visible on all three.
They need to be put in front of a broker. You are only going to do this on your own through sheer good fortune.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks for this. How much are they charging you for the service Kirsty? Which mortgage company are they finally using with adverse credit and what rate if you don't mind me asking?
No problem, we are paying £495 (I expected it to be more to be honest, so we have been very pleased) for the broker fee and we have applied with Halifax. I can honestly say we wouldn't have considered going down the route if it wasn't for the advice we were given by the broker (I was convinced we wouldn't get a mortgage)

Who on the market are notorious cherry pickers?!0 -
HSBC and YBS.
Virgin may also have an issue with a recent late payment, so my omission of them is not a suggestion they will be any more accepting.I am a mortgage broker. My husband had an issue with EE at the start of the year (his contract ended and wasn't aware he still owed £24 - the lovely folks there didn't think to let us know till two months had passed) and so far we haven't had any issues because of it. We've gone through Halifax - they've done their credit checks and have been happy enough to instruct valuation. Fully aware that it could all still go pear shaped but so far so good!0
