I enter daily for the prizes I really want to win and I enter others just once. I used to win quite a lot, but during the past few years since the prizes became spread over the various mags, I have won less. Today I was informed that I had won a prize from a comp I entered just once so I must have been lucky! :)
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

I do the mag dailies for things I really want and have done quite well out of them, probably about 4-5 wins from them in the last two years. I sometimes do the click to win but never won on those.

If you only enter the Daily Mags and C2Ws for what you really want they don't take too long, way too many DVDs and shoes at the moment for me (I am more of trainers/walking shoes person ;) )

I have won on both but I don't enter them daily :)

I tried doing the daily mags for a year and a half or so and eventually gave up in frustration. They took quite a while to do because they'd often make you sit through a whole commercial. I usually muted it, but I'd still have to go through the same routine over and over, the same set of commercials for lots of different mags. Still have a jingle from a Christmas ad stuck in my head from a couple of years ago, so many times did I hear it. I don't know how you all find the patience :)
  • I enter mag dailies on my android mobile, via chrome, no videos, ads or tick boxes at all, just "enter competition" box!

As they are multiple entry and in many cases the prize or prizes are spread across multiple sites the chances of winning with a single entry are far lower than on one entry per person competitions.

I would rather have 1 entry into 3,000 different competitions where every entry could be a winner than have 3,000 entries into just one competition where at best 2,999 of the entries will lose.

There is no harm chucking entries at them as it gives you a chance and if you have entered everything else you want there is not much to lose but I would put them at the bottom of a to do list.

This year I started entering daily for the prizes I would really like to win - previously I entered only once. I've just recently had my first win with Marie Claire. I find the easiest one to enter is Woman's Weekly as there's no video or special offers to tick, just enter the comp.

  • If luck is quantifiable, I don't seem to have much of it, LOL. It can take a long time before I win anything from the general comp board, let alone trying with the mags - though I usually only go for fairly big prizes that would really be useful to me, which I'm sure lengthens the odds.

Still, maybe I could have another crack at the mags - does anyone know if ad-blocking software will eliminate the need to sit through the tedious commercials?
