From what you have said though it could well be that what they're saying is correct. Paying £85 a month wouldn't have even covered the interest accumulating so the balance would have been going up and up and up, even more so when your payments dropped to a few pounds."Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0 -

They agreed verbally,( didn't put anything in writing) to stop the interest and allow me to only pay the loan when I hit difficult times. Once the loan was paid off they started harassing me for the interest and all charges for letters etc. They have done this to many other people. There are lots of cases relating to Paragon and their broken verbal promises on the web and in the press.
BUT you haven't paid the loan off have you? Just because your repayments add up to the initial amount borrowed does not mean you have fulfilled your side of the bargain.
You were paying reduced payments and in the early months of the loan the interest would have been accruing.:hello:0 -
