Thanks all,
Dunstonh and mgdavid; I agree but that doesn't stop me being interested. IF there is a scam I'm intrigued to know how it might work. Forewarned is firearmed after all.
To our your minds at rest I am NOT working with these people or any similar companies.
Chris
People are forever dreaming up new scams. No one knows what the twist on this might be but Post 7 explains the most likely scenarios.
The message is simple, do not accept unsolicited phone calls about your pension.0 -
Thanks to this Newbie, anyone doing a google search is going to quickly learn all they need to know about this company!I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

Forewarned is firearmed
Brilliant!
Sadly, while googling that phrase gets you this thread as the 5th hit, googling "The Pension Clinic" doesn't yet get us on the 1st page. Yet.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

This Government leaflet has some good examples of how pension scams work. http://www.uss.co.uk/Documents/liberation%20fraud%20leaflet.pdfIF there is a scam I'm intrigued to know how it might work. Forewarned is firearmed after all.0 -
The Pension Clinic contacted me a few months ago. They try to set up a meeting with you - not necessarily on the first call. I know a bit more about Pensions than the people I spoke to & reported them to theFSA fraud line.
Don't go near them.0 -
