Hi
I have been a stalker on here for a while as I try and sort out my plan of paying all my debt off.
I have a total of £18,363.48 of debt between credit cards, personal loans, CCJ and Council Tax.
My debt crept up many years ago when I left my ex...I was paying half a mortgage, rent for my own place and spending money I didn't have to feel free (stupid I know).
That all happened over 10 years ago and I am married and have 2 small children which led to debt escalating further with being out of work here and there.
My husband and I earn decent money between us although it feels like we spend it on mostly bills/childcare I know where we can really pull the strings to ensure we can start to pay debt off.
Just after any advice from you all especially if you stated with such a big debt like mine and how you tackled it, how long you expect it will take?
I envisage being debt free in 5 years and to be able to save for a mortgage.
Thank you for your time
Milly

hi and welcome:)
Firstly would you like to post up a Statement of Affairs?
www.stoozing.com/soa/php is a good one and you can send it here.
Then, when you have all your details you can have a look at the snowballing calculator which will tell you how long it will take and the best order to pay debts off to save the most interest.
good luck.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0
