I would definitely go off sick for an interview. I've yet to find an employer who treats their workers well enough for me to not want to cheat them in any way. In my last job I went off sick one day because I had a hospital appointment and was fed up taking holiday for appointments and knew that they would tut when I requested another one. So I just went sick.
