Locally there have been some eye-watering asking prices for new listings.....but almost all of them start to see reductions with a few weeks.
Going to see something at the weekend that has had the asking price reduced 5 times in about 4 months, total reduction abut 30%. If I offer it will be at about 15% below current asking price
Depends on where you are. The market here is still moving well as there is nothing for sale and still buyers.0 -

Has anyone kept track of how many there have been now?
I've lost track of how many times the Countofnowhere has threatened to leave the country (and hasn't).0 -

Probably not much demand overseas for low end "logistics recruitment consultants"
To you and me, that's someone who hires truck drivers.
A so called "recruitment consultant" looking down on estate agents? Talk about pots and kettles0 -
For !!!!!! and gigs I thought I would head over to HPC.co,uk and see what they think about this.
They aren't very keen.1. debtserf said...
People talk eendlessly about how their houses are earning more than they do, never asking where all this free money was coming from.
The truth is that it is being stolen from the next generation. Houses price increases dont produce wealth, they merely transfer it from the young to the old - from the coming generation of families who have to burden themselves with colossal debts if they want to own, to the baby boomers who are about to retire and live on the cash they make when they downsize - and to the flippers and speculators.

Where can I buy this average house at this average price in this average area?:D
Surely the only price that matters is that of the one you want to buy or sell.
In some areas prices are falling - in others rising by far more than these averages. So it means very little.0 -

It's like musical chairs. Everybody's now stuck with what they've got.
There's no more music.0 -
