...but does anyone know the types of tills used by The Range (UK store). I may have a chance of starting work with them, but I have been out of work for a long while and I am apprehensive about getting to know new types of till, as well as cash handling again.
Thanks

I'm sure they will go through how the till works when you start working there. Can't imagine they'd ask about that in the interview.
If you've used a till before I'm sure you'll be fine. Same with cash handling. The till will most likely tell you how much change to give so as long as you know what the notes and coins are you'll be fine. You can always practice a bit with working out how much change you'd give based on notes given and item price.0 -
.. what a silly title. You may have some chance of getting a reply to your question when you actually state what you want to find about in the TITLE so relevant people using those tills may notice your post.
As it is, what a joke.. honest...0 -
A till? that's what the local newsagent has, it goes beep beep beep when the buttons are pressed and clicks away for ages when the receipt is printed.
I think what you mean is an EPoS system.0 -
OP, all I can say is go get the job and try to relax about it. It can't be too hard. Most of them scan things these days so most of the transaction will be scanning then a few buttons at the end. I'm sure you could take notes during training and keep a small card with any information you might not be able to remember? Don't let this fear ruin your chances or make you not take a job. I'm sure you'll be fine once you get started.0
