hello please pardon my ignorance but what do people do with this oil ? i love all things co!!!! so quite fancy getting some but dont know what it used for
many thanksonwards and upwards0 -
It depends what brand you buy as some are less coconutty than others, but I use it for cooking, baking etc - really anywhere you'd use any kind of oil. I buy a brand that is quite coconutty so I wouldn't fry an egg in it, but I stir some into my porridge in the morning and it's delicious. As an example, I made a Thai curry with coconut rice the other day and used the oil to fry the curry, and to fry off the rice and spices before adding coconut milk.
It's a really non-greasy oil so you can also use it as a moisturiser, or a hair mask, or all sorts of things. There are millions of sites on the internet singing its praises, and whilst I'm not convinced by some of the claims I do think it's nice to cook with.0 -
As said hair conditioner skin softener etc it fries really well I used it to make a Korma yesterday.0
