New Gas Boiler??

One more time my 7 yr old Raven heat combi boiler has gone on the blink. Now I need to work out whether its better to replace or continue limping along. Has anybody had a new gas boiler put in recently ? How much did it cost - My current boiler has needed nursed to the cost of about £400 in the last 2 years, plus 3 weeks on and off of no heat . I was looking at PowerNI or Airtricity, but they dont say what boiler they use. Any info would be great , thank you.

try and fit a 'Worcester Bosch'

Excellent quality, slightly more expensive but they have a free 5 year extended guarantee

Depending on the model?around £1500+ fitted I think?

I had an cheap Italian make previously and it only lasted 6 years(constantly having to repair it.)

    any gas fitter can install

    worked out cheaper for me

    (buy cheap, buy twice):money:

Typical of Italian stuff, it's cheap for a reason.

Worcester Bosch is is the cats pyjamas, but there are some other decently made boilers.
  • We've had a worcester for 3 years, think it was about 2k installed minus whatever grant from phoenix. Had 1 internittant problem with it, Worcester bosch guy came out and of course it worked perfectly, he replaced the most likely causes of the problem and it's worked perfectly ever since.

Based on your advice thinking about a worcester boiler. But I want to use my own gas fitter. This boiler is to replace an existing Ravenheat , so no grant. Does anyone know if the guarantee is valid if you use a corgi gas fitter , instead of worcester' s own people

The warranty is valid for any gas fitter.

I did't even know Worcester Bosch has its own fitters in NI.
