Fairly sure you cannot claim child benefit for a child that is claiming income support and as child benefit is the trigger for child maintenance, no, you couldn't claim it if your child was eligible for income support.0

No. If the child is claiming income support then they are classed as independent. You wont be able to continue claiming child benefit meaning you wont be eligible to claim maintenance for them.0

There was a thread last year of a nrp who had to continue paying maintenance despite his daughter having become a parent herself and claiming all single parent benefits related. I can't remember the rationale behind it but he had argued it to no avail.0
