Halifax consent to let - fix rate

My fix deal runs out early 2016 and I'm planning on fixing for another 4 years with Halifax, hopefully rates will still be low at that time.
However, in 2018 I might want to move for a couple of years to a different city, and rent a flat there. How difficult is to get consent to let from Halifax under these circumstances? - assuming that monthly rent payments would be about £300 higher than the mortgage payments? I would be coming back at the end of the two years to live in my property.
