mortgage isa's

Options
Happy friday guys. Okay. Husbands transfer has been delayed and so is our mortgage hopes for now. I have just read about Mortgage cash Isa's. Coming soon in December.!

From what I understand we both can apply for !seperate Isa's?

Is there a minium time for such schemes. We would only need it for 10 months at most?

Obviously we want as much money as possible(who doesn't?). If my calculations are right and we both deposited £1000 each into our accounts and kept up the £200 a month savings after 10 months we would have £700 each. Okay its not massive but £1400 between us is a big help. This of course is if I am right? Can anybody tell me any catches or things to look out for with such schemes?

If I get ISA's, lets say with Halifax. Would this mean we could only go with Halifax? Or can we use the bonus elsewhere? We plan to use a broker but would there be much point if we could only go to the one place?

Some of you may also know that my husband has had PDLs over 3 years ago and that because we are moving(one day) I will have to give my job up. My CR is perfect so I would like to be on application. As AGC kindly pointed out Mortgage lenders dont like single applicants that are married.

Simple question, if this was you, would you apply to get a joint account together?!

I figure I could help app even with Zero wage.

I just keep reading things about 'proof of deposit etc'. As it stands we have equal amounts in our own saving acounts.

Also If we got joint account, would we be able to get seperate Mortgage Isa's? Im guessing not.!

We will not be applying for any new accounts or credit anywhere near the mortgage app.

Basically, what would you lovely people do?

If you had another year to kill and potentially 25% interest bonus on offer?!

Would you go joint account with your parnter, knowing fine well he has PDLs on his CR?

Or do I have no choice?

When we move and I am jobless. We should have....

Combined wage 29k(all his).

Zero debt

No kids

Saving 15k (maybe more with ISA)

Looking at a house 100-110k.

He has been approved by Halifax for AIP. Although I even read there pointless.

Thanks in advance xx
