in Gone off!
Yep its that time of year again, where the supermarkets start stopping some of the value brands to make shelf room for the premium Christmas stuff..
So might be worth doing a bit of a stock up, just in case your value brand item is one of them

My local ASDA stopped selling value brand biscuits earlier this year.
Noticed a lack of value brand items months ago. Is this just my local?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Who needs Big 4 supermarket value brands any more, when Aldi and Lidl sell their normal brands (far better quality than value brands) for much the same price?0

If the past is anything to go by, Sainsbury's Value coleslaw will disappear for Christmas and not reappear until near the end on January.
As a side note, I also notice Sainsbury's loves using the post Christmas period to up prices over a large range of food. The more I live, the more I learn.

I am a right tart when it comes to shopping lol.. No loyalty and will skip from one shop to another if the price is right lol..
For the basics anyway, as I do try to buy from local independent shops etc... As I believe in spreading the love... ( told you I was a bit of a tart lol)Work to live= not live to work0 -

Stocking up now also means less everyday essential needing to be bought closer to Christmas, leaving you extra money for festive treatsZebras rock0 -

same in our locals. A real problem for me is they no longer do their Value conditioner, it was brilliant on my hair. I had been using it for years (I have really long thick, dark, oily hair and a sensitive scalp) and they have replaced it with a slightly more expensive (price wouldn't bother me if it was actually any good) coconut version which kicked my dandruff offMy hair and scalp have been a mess since they stopped it-can't find a suitable replacement

There is a general lack of basics items in my local Sainsburys now. Not even for Christmas. just GENERALLY. I can do a better value shop in the M&S across the road.
But yay for Basics stuffing mix.0 -
Making way for their massive tubs of chocolate... speaking of I saw someone stockpiling 2 trolleys worth of Celebrations and Quality Streets yesterday! They were £5 but last year they went as low as £4... no point in stockpiling so early!
I can't really stock up on value goods as I'm moving house in a month and don't know how much room I will have to store food in my next place!0 -

Would stock up on Sainsbury's Basic stuffing mix right now.
Goes out of stock usually as it gets near Christmas and they usually put it up by at least 5p as well. The more I live, the more I learn.

I am also a right tart when it comes to doing shopping as well!
I always shop around, always have. With 5 main supermarkets something I always want is on offer e.g. Cathedral Cheddar @ £2 , not the ridiculous price of £4.
Being a male price tart does have it's problems though, all those shoppers looking at me in my heels.:rotfl::rotfl:
