Typical items in a Merchandise prize,

I tend not to enter merchandise competition. I presume they normally contain items such as T Shirts, Posters, mugs etc. Am I correct or do you sometimes get unexpected items? Such as a camera?

  • The closest I've come to a camera in a merchandise pack is a camera shaped USB stick. :D

I've only ever won one "goody bag" - it was Percy Jackson related, and I'd entered a few as my kids love the books and films - it contained a T-shirt, notepad and pen, headphones, wooly hat with horns! , and a couple of other random bits. If I'd entered it for me, I'd probably have been disappointed, but the kids liked it!
  • thry can contain all sorts - usually a t-shirt or hoody but the rest can be anything, my favourite t-shirt is from a goody bag - it's so comfortable, I've had games, usb sticks, note books, backback etc

  • Paddington:

    stickers
    lunchbox
    badges

    Mad Max:

    Tshirt
    Cap
    stickers

    Jupiter Ascending:

    Mug
    Pen
    Notepad

    Hitman Agent 47:

    TBC

I've seen some decent looking things in some of the merch packs pictured on comps, but so far I've not had anything like that.

Insidious - seemed to have some sort of fitness band.
Everest - the Hoodies look good.
I'm sure I've seen Radios too.

Bit of a mixed bag, I tend to enter the ones where I see something I like in the pack or if I think it might have some stuff for kids.

    The good stuff -

    Paddington -

DVD, lunch bag, water bottle (which is delightful) stickers & balloons and a card holder

    Walking Dead -

    T-shirt & bag

    Dracula Untold -

    Blu-ray, T-shirt & notebook with pencil

    Spiderman -

PS4 game, Blu-ray, umbrella, LEGO keyring, yo-yo, a fantastic notebook in a steelbook style & a toilet bag.

    And the disappointing

    Best of Me -

T-shirt (too small) postcards, heart shaped keyring, pen (didn't work) postcards & tissues (eh?)

    Cabin in the Woods -

A t-shirt (a bit too small) and a block thing (bit like a Rubik's cube but you can't do anything with it)

So, the good stuff more than outweighs the bad. The majority of stuff is well worth having a go at.

A lot of my PJ T-shirts have come from merchandise packs! hehe. Merch packs are how I got into 'comping'.

some I've had (cant remember all of them)

    . The Hobbit

. T-shirt (the nerds I live with kept trying to steal it!)
    . bracelet

    Begin again

    . T-shirt
    .sunglasses
    . guitar pick shaped USB
.record shaped coasters ( I love these)
    .earphone splitter

    How to train your dragon

. T-shirt (was too small to even fit a toddler)
    .Viking hat (brother nabbed that!)
    .light up bouncy ball
    . sticker sheets
.stationary (including a dragon tail pen, which of course got argued over who got it!)
    .Ice cube moulds
    .key ring
    . magnet jigsaw

    The Duff

    .Vest Top
    .Tote bag
.Iphone case (gave to sister as i dont have an iphone)
    .book

There have been a few others but I cant remember off the top of my head. It seems the T-shirts are either really big or really small :) Usually the monsters I live with call dibs on things they want so it's very rare something doesn't get used ( HTTYD t-shirt I'm looking at you)

  • I had a few good ones - a Red Dead Redemption merch pack (my son is a big fan of the game) that contained the usual things but also a candle shaped like a keg of dynamite. And a Sherlock one that included a wooden traditional board game set - chess, backgammon, etc, plus monogrammed handkerchiefs and tarot cards.

Forgot, I had a USB fridge with one (big enough for 1 can).
